Our partners at Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP) coordinated a large coalition, of which Hills For Everyone was deeply engaged, to get a mitigation policy adopted by Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Through our work with the Power in Nature Coalition we provided details on the policy’s status. Thanks to FHBP’s heavy lift, the policy framework was unanimously approved Thursday, February 2, 2023 by the SCAG Regional Council. The SCAG Project List includes this advance mitigation with the potential to generate $1B in conservation investments as mitigation from transportation projects across the six-countywide region.
