Parks are created any number of ways, but there are many more ways parklands can be threatened. Local land use plans have the ability to help or harm our parks based on policies within them. Sometimes when funding becomes tight, park agencies must become adaptable. Using funding mechanisms that are creative and different to keep providing adequate services are needed.
