We are proud to have been a part of this effort. Clearly based on these comments, Supervisor Do has already affirmed it will be approved again–and there is more to do. So without reviewing the new information, Supervisor Do has already made up his mind. This was a disgusting display by Orange County leadership. Matrix Oil Project Can Move Forward

Wow. This was a complete about face for the courts. The Matrix Oil project decision, which had been stopped in the court, was just reversed. The old contract between Whittier and Matrix is expired. This decision allows the oil company and the City to renegotiate a new contract and specific terms for oil drilling in the Puente Hills Preserve. Read the Whittier Daily News article.

Industry Terminates Tres Hermanos Solar Agreement

Another twist in the solar farm story for the City of Industry and Tres Hermanos. Apparently, they City has terminated its lease agreement with the San Gabriel Valley Water and Power–who is now contesting the termination. Concerns cited by one councilmen included “[losing] confidence in the project” and “concerns about the money that was being spent without any oversight.” Well, hunh. Go figure.
