With the latest news (released through an investigative reporter) of a solar farm and reservoir for Tres Hermanos, the City of Industry, doesn’t appear to want to divulge information publicly–especially to neighboring cities impacted by the plans. There is a public process to follow. Best line in the article: “You are a public agency, City of Industry. Act like it.” View the Whittier Daily News article.
We had so much fun at the #BreaCentennialParade. Thanks to all our volunteers for showing up to demonstrate what we can do in the State Park (hike, ride, camp, birdwatch, etc.) And many thanks to Damon McJunkin with Chino Hills State Park for driving the ranger vehicle with the mountain lion on top.
It appears that the City of Industry does have plans for the Tonner Canyon lands. They’ve spent more than a million dollars on studies, leases and such to understand a 440-megawatt solar power facility there. Read the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
