Industry to Buy 800 More Tonner Canyon Acres

The City of Industry is in escrow to purchase the last major ownership in Tonner Canyon. Owned by the Boy Scouts of America this land has been used for all sorts of nature-related youth events (camping, archery, picnics, etc.) Hills For Everyone’s Claire Schlotterbeck is concerned about the sale because of the important habitat the canyon contains for wildlife.

Local Parks Measure in LA County

Today we participated in a meeting to learn more about the ‪#‎OurParksLA‬ effort. The ultimate goal is to get another park bond measure on the ballot–for this November–that allows for natural lands acquisitions, improvements to trails and park infrastructure, improves our water quality, and keeps our community and families safe.
