HFE Supports Wildlife Corridor Language in Legislation

Hills For Everyone just signed on to a support letter for SBX1-1.  This legislation would provide more funding for wildlife crossings throughout the state by adding wildlife corridor projects as eligible to receive funds from a newly-created Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Program. This new language also requires the CTC to evaluate transportation projects partially on their effectiveness to increase habitat connectivity. Thanks to Senator Beall for adding the language.

40th Anniversary Celebration

Claire Schlotterbeck Honored

Perseid Meteor Shower Tonight

A clear and moon-free night means tonight should bring wonderful views of the Perseid Meteor Shower.  The best night to view it is tonight (August 12) and there is no need for binoculars or a telescope.  You should be able to see meteors with the naked eye.  One tip is that the showers will be coming from the east–so set your gaze that direction!
