Executive Director Claire Schlotterbeck will be the featured speaker at the Chino Hills Historical Society’s meeting next Monday night.  The topic of her presentation is the “Chino Hills State Park: \u000bHow and Why it all Began.”  We’d welcome your attendance at this free event.  The meeting, at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive, begins at 7 PM.

Orange County Supervisors nailed it! They approved a 340 unit project (Esperanza Hills) in the hills above Yorba Linda that uses twice the water an average resident used (before the 36% mandatory cutbacks) and it will be in a known fire corridor (its burned multiple times). Chino Hills State Park is currently seeking to hire several (3-5) new seasonal Park Aides to staff the new Bane Canyon Kiosk and the Discovery Center.  The position is seasonal, meaning employees can work up to 9 month or 1500 hours, and are required to be separated for 3 months between seasons.  The pay is just over $10.00 per hour to start.  The expected schedule is 24-40 hours per week, usually 8 hour shifts, and weekends and holidays are usually required.  State … Read More
