Stop by the Discovery Center and join the State Park Interpretive Association with the Great Backyard Bird Count. This is a US and Canada wide event that helps with determining the population health of various bird species.

You do not have to be an expert. There will be a few of those on hand willing to share their knowledge and assist in bird identification. A great opportunity for beginners.
Bring binoculars and water and a field guide if you have one.
