This is a Saturday workshop on the Hacienda Hills trail and is for beginners through advanced painters who have not done painting from nature.  We will begin at the entrance with a look at some pastel and oil paintings and have a demonstration of basic materials and equipment.  The class will include learning about balance, composition, lighting and use of a camera as a resource tool.  The second hour will be a 1 mile hike and will include some practice.

Participants should bring a pencil and sketchbook or good camera with which you can adjust exposure, focus and shutter speed.  A good cell phone camera combined with apps such as ProCam or ProShot will also work.  Please practice with the apps prior to class.

Everyone should also wear long pants and bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
