Enjoy a hike in the Puente hills with great views over the southland. The 5 mile 1,100′ gain hike will go up to the ridgeline and continue on towards Hacienda Heights. Meet 9 am Powder Canyon entrance (equestrian ring) along Old Fullerton Rd , 400 yards W of Harbor Blvd (near Pathfinder) in Rowland Heights. Bring water, a snack, and sturdy shoes. Note: people new to this hike should be careful to find the right parking lot. This is the Old Fullerton Rd/Harbor Blvd intersection in Rowland Heights, not the more southern Fullerton Rd/Harbor Blvd intersection in La Habra Heights. Go down dirt road to the equestrian ring.
