This beautiful yellow flower is called golden yarrow. It grows in many plant communities, including: yellow pine forest, red fir forest, lodgepole forest, subapline forest, foothill woodland, chaparral and valley grassland. There can be up to 30 blooms in a flower head. The stems are greenish-grey and has a long blooming season making them a great addition to any yard. It is very attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies. This shrub–in the daisy family–is found throughout the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor.
