Hills For Everyone is part of a growing coalition of non-profit, community and park related groups/agencies that support the next Los Angeles County Park Bond Act. The Coalition, called #OurParks went before the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to relay the outcomes of the LA County Department of Parks and Recreations Parks Needs Assessment report. The Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to accept the plan and a motion was made to bring back the ballot initiative language on the June 21st agenda.
Meanwhile, the LA County Parks and Recreations Department will be holding a series of community meetings to share the results from the parks needs assessment. Please share the following meeting dates with your networks and encourage your stakeholders to attend to learn about the parks needs assessment results and what it means for their communities.
