Many of the projects Hills For Everyone is involved with are at the Wildland Urban Interface. These locations are particularly difficult to defend, especially when Santa Ana Winds are a factor. It is helpful to have OCFA take this approach–an outside investigation–and review of its responses to the #CanyonFire2. While they may need to approach things differently, our elected leaders need to consider the impacts of having more houses farther out in the wildland areas–especially in known fire corridors.
