Status of Park Bonds

Three park bond acts are under consideration: Senate Bill 5, Assembly Bill 18, and an initiative by The Nature Conservancy. There has not been a Park Bond Act since 2000. It is expected that the two houses of the Legislature will reach agreement on one measure and, for the first time, it appears the Governor may sign a park bond act. Hills For Everyone is pleased to support Speaker pro Tem Kevin de Leon’s Senate Bill 5 called: California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access For All Act of 2018. This is the first time in 12 years a park bond act could fund important conservation projects in California.
