It is interesting that a little over one year ago this article was written. It appears even in the ‘best of times’ the state opts not to fund or prioritize parks, park maintenance, and park acquisitions. On the great news front… The bill we’ve partnered on (AB 2021) with Assemblyman Phillip Chen made it through its first committee (Assembly Water, Parks, and Wildlife) yesterday on consent. It is now scheduled to go to Assembly Appropriations. Keep your fingers crossed!
