Hills For Everyone released its end of year video in mid-February capturing its work with 30×30, involvement in improved conservation outcomes for a local project, evidence of mountain lions in the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor, updates on partnerships, and finally changes to our board, including the retirement of Roland vom Dorp, passing of Dr. Jack Bath, and addition of Josh Schroeder.

30×30 Kick Off Event

Earlier this week the California Natural Resources Agency hosted the 30×30 Kick Off Event. The 30×30 Campaign aims to protect 30% of California’s natural lands and waters by 2030. Hills For Everyone is ready to help. In fact, our Conservation Consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck is part of the 30×30 Partnership Coordinating Committee bringing non-profits and community groups together to work with the State to accomplish this goal. 30×30 Effort Continues

One of the key meetings we participated in this week was held by the California Natural Resource Agency on its 30×30 effort. The 30×30 effort aims to protect 30% of the state’s lands and coastal waters by 2030. Speakers and staff discussed the “Pathways to 30×30” document, which Hills For Everyone will be commenting on.
