Due to the popularity of our wildflowers and a maximum capacity of the Chino Hills State Park entry road. The gates at our Chino Hills entrance on Sapphire Road do get closed when we reach capacity. At that point we let vehicle traffic in and out on a car by car basis. Please remember to stay on trails. Wildflower Walk

Join Chino Hills State Park for a wildflower walk. The hikes are first come, first served (register at the Bane Canyon kiosk on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays). The hike will be a moderate two mile trek to see wildflowers of every shape, size, and color. Meet at the Rolling M Ranch by the amphitheater. Route may change due to weather and trail conditions.   Due to popular demand, dates have been extended to April 7th & 14th!

Touring the Land

We have been touring various sites where developments are proposed next to the State Park. We toured the Hidden Oaks property (shown left) in Chino Hills to learn about the changes they had made to the project. Though the changes were not impressive, the plentiful rains of 2017 certainly brought the vegetation on the site to life–that was impressive.
