Hills For Everyone is pleased to announce we’ve partnered with Senator Josh Newman to re-introduce a slightly revised bill to expand Chino Hills State Park and require the Department of Parks and Recreation to take the lands it has always envisioned to have, into its ownership. Barbed Wire Removal

Congratulations to all the volunteers from yesterday that removed 3500 feet of barbed wire from Chino Hills State Park. This is just the start of the removal, so stay tuned for more photos and progress. The area of focus here was near the Bobcat Ridge Trail. View photos from our Facebook page.

Barbed Wire Removal Begins

We are SOOOOO excited that State Parks allowed volunteers to begin removal of the documented 4+ miles of barbed wire in Chino Hills State Park. Right now, it is very easy to spot with nearly all the vegetation gone from the Blue Ridge Fire. In a few short months, it will be covered by the mustard and other tall grasses. This video captures some of the highlights of our work from 2020 including acquisition and conservation of 320 acres, PowerPoint presentations, support of the Chino Hills State Park Trail Plan, and legislation to save raptors and owls from rat poison. Grant Awarded for Fire Recovery

We are thrilled to report that the California State Parks Foundation awarded Hills For Everyone our full grant request to replace the campground sign, add defensible space and native plants to the slope, and repair the fencing along Bane Canyon Road near the Rolling M Ranch and Barn. All of these projects will aid in recovery at Chino Hills State Park from the Blue Ridge Fire impacts. We’ll keep you posted on our progress.
