Red Flag Alert 11/8 & 11/9

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning beginning Thursday, November 8th at 10:00 AM until Friday, November 9th at 10:00 PM for the Mountain, Inland, and Coastal weather zones of Orange County. Chino Hills State Park will be closed tomorrow starting at 10am. For your safety, and the safety of first responders, please stay out of the park during red flag events. Thanks!

Fire Commemoration Event

As the Santa Ana winds return to our area this fall season, we are reminded of their devastating effect 10 years ago when the winds drove the Freeway Complex Fire to burn over 30,000 acres in four counties. In addition, over 280 homes were damaged or destroyed and 95% of Chino Hills State Park burned. Rattlesnakes Serve a Purpose

Summertime heat brings out the reptiles, including snakes. Be watchful as you enjoy the trails and stay on the trails so you see them first. This rattlesnake held its position on the trail for a solid ten minutes. Snakes keep our rodent populations down. Every creature has a role in the ecosystem.
