Cielo Vista Moves Forward, Esperanza Hills Refuses Board Recommendations

It appears the Cielo Vista project will go before the Subdivision Committee for its Vesting Map in Spring 2017. Esperanza Hills on the other hand is refusing to comply with the requests of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. The developer refuses to consider the impacts of the bridge, reduce the density, and/or secure a secondary primary access.

The Board of Supervisors complied with part of the Judge’s order: rescinding all the approvals and entitlements of the Esperanza Hills project. After a long discussion amongst the Board members. Esperanza Hills Moving Forward

The Orange County Subdivision Commission recommended approval of the changes to the Vesting Tentative Tract Map for the proposed Esperanza Hills project.  Residents sued the County of Orange and developer in July 2015.  In late June 2016, the court ruled that the project’s Greenhouse Gas analysis was inadequate and it’s mitigation was deferred.  He ordered the County to overturn the project’s approvals and environmental documents, which they have yet to do.
