Hills For Everyone had several key successes last year, but we continue to face numerous challenges threatening the Puente-Chino Hills Wildlife Corridor. This video captures some of the highlights of our work from 2018 including victories with Madrona and the passage of the Park Bond. The City of Brea has released the Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that will analyze a project proposed by Aera Energy. Aera owns 265 acres at the juncture of Carbon Canyon and Valencia. The land includes the Christmas tree farm along Rose and the oil fields on both sides of Lambert Road. Here is the video clip of the Madrona project approvals being rescinded. Brea City Attorney Jim Markman provides the introduction, Councilmember Marty Simonoff moves to rescind the approvals, Councilmember Christine Marick seconds the motion, and it was approved unanimously.
