Grand Says Don’t Close OC Landfills

Grand Jury warns against closing any of the Orange County Landfills. Brea is a “host city” with the Olinda Alpha Landfill. The contract will end in a few years and Brea may opt to renegotiate terms to the continued use and impact of the landfill and its associated operations. After the closure of the landfill, the Olinda Alpha Landfill is slated to become a regional park (as are many landfills post-closure).
