Hmmm… what to do with the 2,500 acre Tres Hermanos property owned by the City of Industry’s now disbanded Redevelopment Agency? Apparently there are a few plans: 7,500 new residents or a 1,000 acre solar farm. This summer things will be quite interesting as the groundwork for a decision gets laid. The City of Chino Hills is offering two public meetings TODAY (September 23) from 4 – 5:30 PM and from 6:30 – 8 PM on a development proposed in Carbon Canyon. The project, called Hidden Oaks Country Club is a 537 acre project with 107 hillside lots throughout the property. The Chino Hills Planning Commission meeting this week and agreed with the staff report that the clear and documented intent of the 1994 General Plan was to zone the 3000 acres in southeastern Chino Hills as 1 unit per 40 acres. The Planning Commission received and filed the staff report.
