Commerce Muscles Into Tres Hermanos Fight

Wowza! The City of Commerce is now trying to buy the Tres Hermanos property in Tonner Canayon. The meeting of the Oversight Board, originally scheduled for today, was cancelled and this item was inadvertently put on the agenda, which caused a flurry of concern. Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, and Industry have been negotiating an agreement, but Commerce now is inserting itself into the mix. Read the Orange County Register article.

Industry Subpeona’s Solar Factory Developer

Last Friday, the City of Industry City Council voted to subpoena the solar factory developer (San Gabriel Valley Water and Power LLC) to provide records on how Industry’s $20 million loan was spent. So far, the City only has photos and maps, but nothing else. Apparently, the loan was contingent on actual groundbreaking, so Industry may lose every cent if the project doesn’t move forward. Edison Steps Away From Tres Hermanos Solar Project

Southern California Edison was in on the deal with the City of Industry to build the solar factory on Upper Tonner Canyon. But it appears things are unraveling. Records in the City of Diamond Bar and Chino Hills’ lawsuits are still pending from Industry…. including the documents related to Edison’s role in the deal. The plot thickens. Industry Won’t Comply With Public Records Law

Another story on the City of Industry. This time the city won’t comply with the California Public Records Act, according to the Cities of Diamond Bar and Chino Hills. Both cities have sued Industry over the proposed solar factory on Tres Hermanos. Check out the San Gabriel Valley Tribune article.
