What is in store for the 2,450 acre Tres Hermanos ranch? That’s the question asked by the Los Angeles Times in this article. The Cities of Industry, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, and now Commerce, are battling for the answer. Hills For Everyone Executive Director Claire Schlotterbeck acknowledged the biological diversity of the site isn’t well known because the land has been protected with armed guards at the gates and on patrol since 1978. Commerce Muscles Into Tres Hermanos Fight

Wowza! The City of Commerce is now trying to buy the Tres Hermanos property in Tonner Canayon. The meeting of the Oversight Board, originally scheduled for today, was cancelled and this item was inadvertently put on the agenda, which caused a flurry of concern. Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, and Industry have been negotiating an agreement, but Commerce now is inserting itself into the mix. Read the Orange County Register article.
