The LA County District Attorney raided homes and businesses related to the failed solar farm planned for the Tres Hermanos land owned by the City of Industry. Generic invoices and $20 million of payouts to contractors, with little to no work to show for it, lead to the investigation. Former State Senator Frank Hills, businessman William Barkett and Industry’s former city manager, Paul Philips, were among those whose possessions were searched and/or confiscated.
