Meeting delays have held up the Oversight Committee on the Tres Hermanos sale to the City of Industry. This has residents worried about what is going on behind closed doors. As outlined in the Chino Champion article from January 28, 2017, the City of Industry is being asked to provide detailed plans about its intents with the Tres Hermanos property. The City of Industry has made an offer to the Successor Agency of its own Redevelopment Agency–dissolved years ago by state mandate. The plot thickens… “What are you (City of Industry) going to do with Tres Hermanos?” asks the Oversight Board. They demand knowing the City’s intentions with the land since there is no deed restriction or conservation easement ensuring the land will STAY open space. Without those restrictions, the City of Industry can do whatever it wants. Read the San Gabriel Valley Tribune article.
