Meeting on Proposed Solar Factory

The Cities of Chino Hills and Diamond Bar met last week to see if more of the mystery around the City of Industry’s proposed solar factory on Tres Hermanos (Upper Tonner Canyon) could be determined. Between the two cities there are four lawsuits filed to stop the project from moving forward. Numerous high ranking officials in the City of Industry have been recently fired. Industry Stops Paying on Solar Factory Work

Lawsuits filed by the Cities of Chino Hills and Diamond Bar have the City of Industry focused on record requests and not the advancement of the solar factory itself. The factory was planned for the Tres Hermanos property (Upper Tonner Canyon) and bills submitted by the leasee have been unpaid because the City Council has yet to increase the cap beyond the original $20M. Industry Fires its City Manager

Things just keep getting more and more interesting with the City of Industry. The Council just fired the City Manager. One of the City Council members said: “We appreciate Mr. Philips’ assistance over the past several years as the council was committed to adopting the reforms recommended in the State Controller’s Audit.” Time will tell if the Council actually does want to change its ways. City of Industry Fires Key Staffers

The “fun” continues with the City of Industry as three “new” firings occur, including the state watchdog Bill Lockyer. “I think they wanted to silence individuals who are telling them what they should or shouldn’t do,” [Senator Ed] Hernandez said in an interview Friday. Senator Hernandez is now asking top state prosecutors to look into this. View the San Gabriel Valley Tribune article.
