The City of Yorba Linda developed a Housing Element Update that was conditionally approved by the state, pending a Measure B vote by Yorba Linda voters. Measure Z as it was known failed at the ballot box, which required the City to try again on its Housing Element Update. View the E-Alert for Yorba Linda residents.

The State of California has set regional targets for housing at four different income levels (very low, low, moderate, and above moderate). Yorba Linda and the County of Orange (along with all Southern California cities and counties) must update their Housing Elements to plan for housing construction. A Varied Week

It has been quite a varied week for all of us with the Huntington Beach Oil Spill impacting our coastal lands, beaches, and wetlands. This was quickly followed up by a 22 acre brush fire in Brea and then an incredible lightning storm that ignited a fire in Yorba Linda. Here are a few images we snapped and videos of the latter two events.
