Great news!! Conservation got a boost yesterday with the preservation of B Canyon by the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority. Wildlife now have a second place to cross under the 91 freeway as the acquisition protects a linkage between Chino Hills State Park and the Santa Ana Mountains. Since the 1970s, Hills For Everyone has led the way to protect the 14,100 acre Chino Hills State Park. Through decades-long advocacy–along with local and state partnerships–one final phase, the eastern ridgelines (842 acres), are on the path to being protected!
Our partners at Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP) coordinated a large coalition, of which Hills For Everyone was deeply engaged, to get a mitigation policy adopted by Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Through our work with the Power in Nature Coalition we provided details on the policy’s status.
