Cielo Vista Moves to Board

The Orange County Planning Commission voted in March to recommend approval of the 83-unit Cielo Vista project.  This means the Environmental Impact Report and project goes before the Board of Supervisors, likely in late April.  Yorba Linda residents continue to fight this and the Esperanza Hills project through a resident-based group called Protect Our Homes and Hills. YL City Council Changes Mind

In an odd turn of events, the Yorba Linda City Council changed its mind on the primary access road for the proposed (and currently litigated) Esperanza Hills project.  Arguments have ensued for months that the proposed primary access road across San Antonio Canyon behind more than a dozen homes was patently illegal.  Residents provided 18 documents confirming their position that the land was open space in perpetuity and the road was not an acceptable use.  The City changed its position … Read More

Hills For Everyone has guided the efforts of a volunteer-based group, Protect Our Homes and Hills, in efforts to stop the Esperanza Hills and Cielo Vista project.  Residents mainly cite public safety, evacuation, fire, water and other environmental concerns.  OC Register reporter John Drummond highlights their efforts in a recent article. Santa Ana River Parkway Extension Project

The Santa Ana River Parkway Extension Project, Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR), will be available for public review beginning December 10, 2015 today. The Notice of Availability (NOA) contains information where paper copies of the DEIR are available for public review and the web address to download a digital copy.
