We can think of no other site with this many constraints still trying to get entitlements. Hills For Everyone continues to work with Protect Our Homes and Hills on the Esperanza Hills project. Esperanza Hills Overturned Again

We are proud to have been a part of this effort. Clearly based on these comments, Supervisor Do has already affirmed it will be approved again–and there is more to do. So without reviewing the new information, Supervisor Do has already made up his mind. This was a disgusting display by Orange County leadership. Grand Says Don’t Close OC Landfills

Grand Jury warns against closing any of the Orange County Landfills. Brea is a “host city” with the Olinda Alpha Landfill. The contract will end in a few years and Brea may opt to renegotiate terms to the continued use and impact of the landfill and its associated operations. After the closure of the landfill, the Olinda Alpha Landfill is slated to become a regional park (as are many landfills post-closure). Another Big Win in Yorba Linda

Orange County Superior Court Judge Claster ruled in favor of residents and environmental groups fighting a dangerous hillside development (Esperanza Hills) next to Chino Hills State Park above Yorba Linda. He ordered that all project approvals be revoked and the Environmental Impact Report to be rewritten. He also gave the County a deadline (of mid-July) for complying with the order.
