As the Santa Ana winds return to our area this fall season, we are reminded of their devastating effect 10 years ago when the winds drove the Freeway Complex Fire to burn over 30,000 acres in four counties. In addition, over 280 homes were damaged or destroyed and 95% of Chino Hills State Park burned. Stop by the Discovery Center and join the State Park Interpretive Association with the Great Backyard Bird Count. This is a US and Canada wide event that helps with determining the population health of various bird species. You do not have to be an expert.
