The recent local fires serve as a reminder of what it takes to defend properties in fire prone areas. Orange County has twice approved the Esperanza Hills project and residents with Protect Our Homes and Hills, under guidance from Hills For Everyone, have twice won in court. Another Big Win in Yorba Linda

Orange County Superior Court Judge Claster ruled in favor of residents and environmental groups fighting a dangerous hillside development (Esperanza Hills) next to Chino Hills State Park above Yorba Linda. He ordered that all project approvals be revoked and the Environmental Impact Report to be rewritten. He also gave the County a deadline (of mid-July) for complying with the order.
