Big news from the State of California as Governor Newsom proposes protecting 30% of California lands and coast by 2030. Dubbed the 30 by 30 campaign, Newsom mentioned focusing on California natural history and legacy of open space. Early indications are that these goals will not conflict with the state’s housing crisis/affordable housing goals and that we will be able to meet both objectives.
