It is a big disappointment to hear that the California Supreme Court opted not to hear the case on Esperanza Hills. The Orange County Board of Supervisors approved the project–the latest iteration–with a 3-2 vote last September. These 340 multi-million dollar houses are proposed immediately adjacent to Chino Hills State Park. There is one more lawsuit appeal pending. On the great news front… The bill we’ve partnered on (AB 2021) with Assemblyman Phillip Chen made it through its first committee (Assembly Water, Parks, and Wildlife) yesterday on consent. It is now scheduled to go to Assembly Appropriations. Keep your fingers crossed!
