Claire Schlotterbeck was surrounded by friends, family, and conservation advocates in a recent ceremony honoring political leaders hosted by the Sierra Club Political Action Committee. Kathryn Phillips, a Sierra Club leader, honored Claire with references to John Muir and the legacy he created with Yosemite. Local leader Claire Schlotterbeck, Executive Director of Hills For Everyone, is receiving one of the 2015 Political Leadership Awards at the event venue in Chino Hills State Park, the park she helped found. Sierra Club invites you to attend the Angeles Chapter Political Action Committee fundraiser event acknowledging environmental leaders from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego Counties. Wine Tasting Tons of Fun!

We had such a wonderful time at the Hodson’s beautiful home in Oak Tree Downs on Saturday night. The wine tasting went off without a hitch. The guests had fun, enjoyed the wine and got some great silent auction items. And our volunteers–WOW–you are all amazing! Thank you also to Ascension Cellars for making it so much fun!

Planning Commission Confirms Our Position

The Chino Hills Planning Commission meeting this week and agreed with the staff report that the clear and documented intent of the 1994 General Plan was to zone the 3000 acres in southeastern Chino Hills as 1 unit per 40 acres. The Planning Commission received and filed the staff report. Lawsuit Filed on Esperanza Hills

Protect Our Homes and Hills—a project of Hills For Everyone—filed a lawsuit against the County of Orange for its approval of the Esperanza Hills project. The Board of Supervisors approved the General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, and Specific Plan for the 340-unit hillside development on June 2nd. The City of Yorba Linda was also included in the lawsuit for its lack of action on the project as a Responsible Agency. Main concerns about the project include public safety due to … Read More
