Ensuring wildlife and insects can migrate at night is critical. Eliminate unnecessary outdoor lighting to help protect pollinators and birds!
Did you know that there are bees native to California that nest in the ground, not in a hive? Yep! This photo was taken on the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority’s Sycamore Canyon Preserve. They become more active in spring. You can see their bee burrows in the ground and they are perfectly circular. Give them space–as we need bees to pollinate the flowers and crops!
