State Controller’s Audit

The City of Industry’s financial practices are being questioned by the State Controller. Shady business dealings, scrutinized transactions, gift of public funds, and other suspicious financial dealings are a few of the phrases used to describe the City’s financial situation in the article and draft audit report. Things just keep getting more and more interesting with the City of Industry. The Council just fired the City Manager. One of the City Council members said: “We appreciate Mr. Philips’ assistance over the past several years as the council was committed to adopting the reforms recommended in the State Controller’s Audit.” Time will tell if the Council actually does want to change its ways.
