Industry Terminates Tres Hermanos Solar Agreement

Another twist in the solar farm story for the City of Industry and Tres Hermanos. Apparently, they City has terminated its lease agreement with the San Gabriel Valley Water and Power–who is now contesting the termination. Concerns cited by one councilmen included “[losing] confidence in the project” and “concerns about the money that was being spent without any oversight.” Well, hunh. Go figure. Industry Subpeona’s Solar Factory Developer

Last Friday, the City of Industry City Council voted to subpoena the solar factory developer (San Gabriel Valley Water and Power LLC) to provide records on how Industry’s $20 million loan was spent. So far, the City only has photos and maps, but nothing else. Apparently, the loan was contingent on actual groundbreaking, so Industry may lose every cent if the project doesn’t move forward. Edison Steps Away From Tres Hermanos Solar Project

Southern California Edison was in on the deal with the City of Industry to build the solar factory on Upper Tonner Canyon. But it appears things are unraveling. Records in the City of Diamond Bar and Chino Hills’ lawsuits are still pending from Industry…. including the documents related to Edison’s role in the deal. The plot thickens. Industry Won’t Comply With Public Records Law

Another story on the City of Industry. This time the city won’t comply with the California Public Records Act, according to the Cities of Diamond Bar and Chino Hills. Both cities have sued Industry over the proposed solar factory on Tres Hermanos. Check out the San Gabriel Valley Tribune article.

Meeting on Proposed Solar Factory

The Cities of Chino Hills and Diamond Bar met last week to see if more of the mystery around the City of Industry’s proposed solar factory on Tres Hermanos (Upper Tonner Canyon) could be determined. Between the two cities there are four lawsuits filed to stop the project from moving forward. Numerous high ranking officials in the City of Industry have been recently fired.
