The Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority launches new hours for Sycamore Canyon, Turnbull Canyon, and Hacienda Hills. Starting Monday, September 18th, the Preserves (above) open at 9 AM and close at 5 PM. This changes in June to 6 PM.
The Puente Hills Habitat Authority Preserve hours are changing effective Monday, September 18, 2017… please make note. June – September 9 AM – 6 PM October – May 9 AM – 5 PM This applies to Sycamore Canyon, Hacienda Hills, and Turnbull Canyon trail access points. It is already in effect at Hellman Park. Violators subject to $175 – $1,000 fine.
Trail access off Turnbull Canyon Road approximately ½ mile east of Painter Avenue in Whittier. From 10 freeway go south on 605 freeway, exit Beverly Blvd. EAST. Go east on Beverly Blvd. for 3 miles until it turns into Turnbull Canyon Road. Trailhead is on the left. Download a map of Turnbull Canyon trails. (PDF – 12 MB)
