Residents have been asked to cut back their water use. In some cases, it is as high as 36% cutbacks. The irony, as Editorial Writer Ray Chandos notes, is that while we are required to cut back, decision makers and water districts are approving water guzzling projects and offering “will serve” letters. Under the leadership of Supervisor Todd Spitzer, the Board of Supervisors, dealt a significant blow to the Esperanza Hills project at the March 10th meeting. The developer failed to get permissions to build the project. Rather, he was instructed to work with the City of Yorba Linda to comply with the City’s higher standards.
