HEAR THE TRUTH:

In the Los Angeles County, Measure PH campaign, claims are being made the Puente Hills Habitat Authority is part of the National Recreation Area and that the Authority receives federal funding. This is a red herring because the purpose of the Measure PH is to set up a local, permanent funding stream due to lack of existing fund consistently and reliability (none of which is federal funding).

RECEIPTS:

1. The Habitat Authority lands (all 4,000 acres) are not in a National Recreation Area. The ONLY National Recreation Area in the Southland is the Santa Monica Mountains.

2. The Habitat Authority lands are also NOT in the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. This National Monument and the recent expansion ONLY covers lands the Angeles National Forest.

3. The Habitat Authority does not received any federal funding. Its 2023-2024 budget (and other years) are available on the HabitatAuthority.org website.
